McClendon uses software development to translate user needs into an actual product. Depending on the need, we may use a very structured, engineering-based approach to develop solutions, or we may use a more incremental approach (e.g. spiral software development, waterfall-based development, or releases), whereby the software goes through an evolution as it is developed incremental through software packages or drops. In whatever methodology we use, there are shared stages of the software development that we continue to use in order to provide turn-key IT systems. We gather information and turn this information into requirements for the proposed system solution; we implement deep-dive analysis of the problem, devise a plan or design that aligns with the software-based solution, we test the software in a test environment, we deploy the developed software, and we then provide maintenance and Operation & Sustainment support to the deployed software. These stages are the impetus to our Software Development Lifecycle.
